This three-part, video-based tutorial will introduce you to basic data analysis, data visualization and data mapping using Google Sheets and Google My Maps. Both are free, online tools accessible through the Google account that you already have access to if you have a Gmail account.
The first part, Basic Data Analysis with Google Sheets, will show you how to grab and analyze the latest unemployment data for every metropolitan area in Tennessee.
The second part, Data Visualization with Google Sheets, will introduce you to making online, interactive graphics, including column charts, pie charts and line charts.
The final part, making data-driven maps with Google My Maps, will teach you how to turn data into maps using Google My Maps.
